Assessment Records
- The assessment records are open and freely available to the public for
research and examination. Anyone is welcome to examine the records and take
notes on paper. In accordance with Missouri's "Sunshine Law", copies can be
provided at appropriate fees. Our doors are open from eight a.m. to five p.m.
Monday through Friday except for holidays. There are two terminals in the
assessor's office designated for use by the public which are already being used by area
real estate professionals. Assessment records and maps are not available
online or by fax.
Product Availability
- Tax Maps:
36" x 36" aerial photographic enlargements, with parcels, providing complete
county coverage (hi-res photography as recent as 2004). Tax map prints are available
for $8 per sheet. Blue-lines are $5 (if available) but will not have current parcel
line drawings. Public domain photography from 2006 and 2007 can also be viewed featuring
county wide coverage. Tax map copies can be prepaid for and provided through postal mailing or
other carrier shipping.
Computerized mapping is not available online, however maps.google.com may be useful.
- Ownership data:
This data can be delivered as mailing labels, in printout format,
or in Excel format. There is a five cent fee per record
obtained. The data request may also be subject to per quarter hour billing for
document or record search and recovery, programming
costs required to fulfill the request, or materials costs to fulfill the order.
Postage/shipping is an additional cost. Requests should be made in writing and
mailed or faxed to the address information found below.
- The State Land Surveyor's Office implemented ground control
monumentation county wide. Copies of this work may be obtained either from
them or from the County.
- Cash or a check (made payable to: Phelps County Assessment Fund) is an acceptable form of
payment when purchasing maps or data. Payment is required prior to delivery. Credit cards are
not accepted as a form of payment in the assessor's office.
