Election Date of November 8, 2005
Notice is hereby given of a Special Election Date, established by Chapter 115, Laws of Missouri. Notice is hereby given that an election will be held in the following listed districts, that the polls will be open between the hours of six o’clock in the morning and seven o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 8th day of November, 2005, for the purpose of submitting to the voters of the County of Phelps the following as certified to me by Secretary of State of the State of Missouri and the St. James R-1 School District.

THE STATE OF MISSOURI
To the Election Authority, that being the County Clerk of Phelps County, State of Missouri, Greetings:
WHEREAS, I have been duly notified on April 18, 2005, pursuant to Section 21.090, RSMo, of the resignation of State Representative Frank Barnitz, who at the time of his resignation was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives of the Ninety-Third General Assembly, from the 150th District, comprised of Dent County and parts of Crawford County, Phelps County, and Reynolds County; and
WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the membership of the Ninety-Third General Assembly, from the 150th House District, by virtue of the resignation of State Representative Frank Barnitz.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, MATT BLUNT, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, pursuant to the laws of the State of Missouri, including Article III, Section 14 of the Constitution of the State of Missouri and Sections 21.110 and 115.125, RSMo, do hereby issue this writ of election to fill this vacancy and do hereby direct that you cause the election for this purpose to be held on November 8, 2005, within the limits comprising the 150th District of the Missouri House of Representatives as required by law. Candidates must be selected and filed for office no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 19, 2005. I further direct that you issue your Proclamation or Notice for holding the election in accordance with the provisions of Sections 21.130, 115.125, and 115.127, RSMo, and that you certify the execution of this writ by providing the abstract required by Section 115.507, RSMo.

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of the St. James R-1 School District, Missouri (the “District”), in the State of Missouri, that an election will be held in the District on Tuesday, the 8th day of November, 2005 commencing at 6:00 a.m., and closing at 7:00 p.m., on that date, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the District the following proposition, to wit:
Shall the Board of Education of the St. James R-1 School District, Missouri, be authorized to increase the operating tax levy by $0.50 to $3.25 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation in order to provide additional funds to hire and retain qualified staff and to meet other operating needs of the District?
